Dr. Khalifa
Mansour is a graduate of
Cairo
University
with his M.D. in 1982. He
completed his internship at the
University
of
Southern California
– St. Francis, followed by his residency in Neurology in
1994 at the
University
of
California
,
Irvine
. Dr. Mansour
completed a fellowship in Neuro-Rehabilitation at the Ernest
Bors Spinal Cord Injury Center at the Veteran’s
Administration
Medical
Center
,
Long Beach
and a mini-fellowship in Epilepsy at the Wake Forest
University School of Medicine,
Winston-Salem
,
North Carolina
. During his
education, Dr. Mansour excelled and graduated at the top 10%
of his class. Besides
having a thriving Neurology practice, Dr. Mansour provides
educational and clinical opportunities to the residents in
the Family Practice Residency program.
He has provided his expertise on committees
developing the first ever stroke protocols and pathways now
used as common practice.
He was the primary investigator at
UCLA
Medical
Center
in the development of the FAST-MAG protocol, along side Dr.
Jeffrey Savor. Dr.
Mansour has been a guest lecturer on a multitude of
neuroscience issues, with special interests in Dementia,
Stroke, and Epilepsy.
